(Adnkronos) – A twist at the French National Assembly where, with 185 votes in favor and 184 against, a resolution proposed by the Rassemblement National (RN) against the 1968 Franco-Algerian agreement was approved. “It’s a day that can be defined as historic for the RN,” declared Marine Le Pen, leader of the Rassemblement National deputies, emphasizing that it is the first text from her party approved by the National Assembly despite the opposition of the left, Macron’s supporters, and the government.
“It’s an immense victory for us,” Le Pen wrote on ‘X’. “This is a first step towards the repeal of this convention, which is contrary to the interests of our country,” she added. The resolution was approved with the support of LR and Horizons.
