(Adnkronos) – During a visit to Senegal’s capital, Dakar on Thursday, Italy’s foreign minister Antonio Tajani lauded the value of sport “as a tool for peace, dialogue and solidarity”.
“Sport as a tool for peace, dialogue, and solidarity, Tajani wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
” In Dakar, many smiles, joy, and hugs with these young boys,” added the tweet which contained a video of Tajani greeting young athletes and giving them Italian soccer jerseys.
Tajani on Thursday wraps up a visit to the West Africa with a stop in Niger’s capital Niamey. Italy’s interior minister Matteo Piantedosi is accompanying Tajani on the three-day visit which began in Mauritania’s capital, Nouakchott, and is centered on bolstering economic and security cooperation.
