Turkey, tomorrow and Friday in Istanbul the Eurasian forum

29 Ottobre 2025

(Adnkronos) – After 14 editions in Verona, one in the Caucasus (Baku, Azerbaijan), one in Central Asia (Samarkand, Uzbekistan) and one in the Middle East (Ras al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates), the itinerant format of the Eurasian Economic Forum continues, which this year arrives in Turkey. The XVIII edition, titled “New energy for new economic realities”, will be held tomorrow and Friday at the Çırağan Palace in Istanbul, a city that has historically always played a strategic and symbolic role as a bridge between East and West, a crossroads of cultures, trade and international economic relations.

Organized and promoted by the Conoscere Eurasia Association, in collaboration with the Roscongress Foundation, the event will see the participation of numerous speakers and guests from all over the world, including representatives of international organizations, political, business and association figures, as well as important public and private companies from Italy and dozens of other countries.

Confirmed attendees include the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, the Deputy Minister for Energy and Natural Resources, Ahmet Berat Conkar, Kirill Komarov, First Deputy Director General of Rosatom, the Russian agency for atomic energy cooperation, and Leonid Mikhelson, President of Novatek. Also, Dmitry Zverev, Russian Deputy Minister of Transport. And on the 31st, the intervention of former Prime Minister Romano Prodi is scheduled.

The main objective is to promote and strengthen dialogue and business opportunities between the West and the Greater Eurasia space, in a geopolitical context that, more than ever, requires frank, open, and multipolar spaces. This year, the Forum will also include a collective area entirely dedicated to businesses, conceived as a platform for meeting and collaboration. In this space, Italian, Turkish, and Russian companies will have the opportunity to present themselves and develop new strategic partnerships: a valuable opportunity to enhance and promote Made in Italy, Made in Turkey, and Made in Russia, fostering synergies and new perspectives for economic cooperation.

The Forum – which will also be streamed on forumverona.com – will open with a special session dedicated to Turkey, focusing on its new role in the global economy and the country’s ability to establish itself as an economic and political hub in a constantly evolving international context. The program, according to a note from the Conoscere Eurasia association chaired by Antonio Fallico, will continue with nine thematic sessions dedicated to the main challenges of current economics: from new energy strategies for sustainable development to the impacts of global change on business; from the revitalization of the manufacturing and industrial sector to the strategic role of transport and logistics for international growth. Ample space will also be reserved for tourism as a bridge between economy and culture, the evolution of the financial system between technological innovation and new rules, and the digital transformations that are redefining the competitiveness of countries.

To conclude the program, two key themes for the future: food production in the face of the climate challenge and the relationship between economic growth and social well-being, with the aim of reflecting on how to make growth more inclusive and sustainable.
