(Adnkronos) – Hurricane Melissa could affect 1.5 million people in Jamaica alone. This was stated by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, warning against a “massive impact” of the meteorological phenomenon. “1.5 million people could be affected,” Necephor Mghendi, head of delegation for the International Federation of the Red Cross for the Anglophone and Dutch Caribbean, told reporters, warning that the number could be “underestimated.”
