(Adnkronos) – A 6.5 magnitude earthquake has struck the coast of the French overseas territory of Guadeloupe. This was announced by the US Geological Survey, without reporting any damage or injuries at the moment. According to seismologists, the epicenter of the quake occurred approximately 160 kilometers east of the Caribbean island, at a depth of nine kilometers, around 8:30 local time. Authorities issued a tsunami alert after the initial tremor, followed by several strong aftershocks.
