27 Ottobre 2025

(Adnkronos) – ”A turning point” that will lead to ”new reforms”. So said Argentine President Javier Milei after his victory in the mid-term elections, where his party, La Libertad Avanza, obtained 40.84 percent of the votes. “Today we have reached a turning point, today begins the construction of a great Argentina,” he told supporters during a victory celebration in Buenos Aires. The country will move forward with what Milei called “the most reformist Congress in Argentina’s history.”

La Libertad Avanza thus increases its representation in both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, becoming the most voted party ahead of Fuerza Patria, which stopped below 24.3% and 31 seats. Turnout was 67.9% and 97.2% of votes counted.
