Australia, Labubu stolen in Melbourne, ‘loot’ recovered, a man on trial

(Adnkronos) – Labubu dolls are definitely in high demand. In Australia, police announced that a 40-year-old man is facing theft charges after dozens of dolls were seized. A total of 43 were found during a search of a property in a Melbourne suburb. Some were ‘highly sought after’. They were seized, and among the dolls were several limited editions with an estimated value of 500 Australian dollars (approximately 280 euros) per doll. 

In total, a ‘haul’ of about 9,000 dollars. According to authorities, the ‘treasure’ originated from four different thefts at a Melbourne shopping center. And it all reportedly began in July. The man faces four counts of burglary and two counts of theft. He is due to appear in court in May.
