(Adnkronos) – Pope Leo, Italy’s premier Giorgia Meloni and foreign minister Antonio Tajani attended World Food Day at the Rome-based UN Food and Agriculture Organisation on Thursday, which also marks 80 years since the agency was founded.
Tajani was due to address the plenary session at the World Food Day event.
In an address to the World Food Day opening ceremony on Thursday, Italy’s president Sergio Mattarella lamented the decline of multilateralism, saying this harmed the fight against key global challenges such as the fight against hunger.
