Naha, Okinawa Pref., Oct. 16 (Jiji Press)– Four Chinese coast guard ships temporarily sailed in Japan’s territorial waters off the Senkaku Islands in the southernmost prefecture of Okinawa, the Japan Coast Guard has said. According to the JCG’s 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters in Naha, the capital of Okinawa, the four Haijing vessels entered the waters around 4 p.m. Wednesday and left the area by around 6 p.m. It was the first time since Sept. 14 that a Chinese official ship has intruded into the Japanese waters off the East China Sea islands, which are under Japanese administration and claimed by China.
