(Adnkronos) – The French Council of State has rejected Marine Le Pen’s appeal against her immediate ineligibility, imposed as part of her conviction for misappropriation of public funds. Le Pen, whose appeal trial will be held from January 13 to February 12, challenged her removal from the electoral rolls in April and asked the Council of State to submit a priority question of constitutionality to the Constitutional Council. The Council of State’s decision prevents her from running in any legislative or presidential elections.
