(Adnkronos) – Two French citizens, whose identities have not been disclosed, have been sentenced to several years in prison for “espionage” on behalf of France and Israel. This was reported by Mizan, a news agency linked to the Iranian judiciary, specifying that “the first-instance verdict has been issued regarding the case of the two French defendants accused of espionage and arrested on March 9, 2023”. According to Mizan, one of the defendants was sentenced to six years in prison and the other to 10 years in prison. Officially, two French citizens, Cecile Kohler and Jacques Paris, are detained in Iran, but they were arrested in May 2022.
