North Korea: Kim, ‘eliminate movements that undermine Workers’ Party authority’

9 Ottobre 2025

(Adnkronos) – The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, called for the “elimination” of movements seeking to “undermine” the authority of the Workers’ Party and urged “strict discipline” on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the party’s founding. During a visit to the history museum of the Pyongyang formation, according to the state agency Kcna, he indicated that the party “will continue to consolidate a rigorous order, with great party discipline, seeking to eliminate all elements and acts that undermine its prestige or its leadership.”

Kim urged “to achieve a change in the attitude of high-ranking party officials” and warned that “diabolical practices such as ignorance, incompetence, lack of responsibility, and formalism, as well as abuse of power” exist. In this regard, he called for an end to all of this. The leader’s words come shortly before the country kicks off, tomorrow, a large-scale military parade to celebrate the anniversary of the Workers’ Party government, which will be attended by high-ranking officials from countries such as China, Russia, and Vietnam.
