IDF, preparations for partial withdrawal from Gaza begun

(Adnkronos) – The IDF has begun preparations for a partial withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, based on the agreement reached last night with Hamas on a ceasefire and the release of hostages. In a statement, the Israeli Defense Forces announced that, “based on political directives and situational assessment, the IDF has begun operational preparations for the implementation of the agreement.” As part of these preparations, the Defense Forces are ready to move troops “in the near future” to “agreed deployment lines,” specifying that they “will continue to be deployed in the area and prepare for any operational development.”
