(Adnkronos) – Sadiq Khan has called Donald Trump “racist, sexist, misogynist and Islamophobic” after the US president, speaking from the United Nations stage, criticized the work of the “terrible” mayor of London, claiming that the British capital is heading towards the application of sharia.
Khan, quoted by the Guardian website, referring to Trump’s speech, underlined the record number of American visitors and investors who choose London. “Since records began, there has only been one period when more Americans have come to London. There must be a reason for this. If you look at different criteria, we are often the number one city in the world for culture, foreign investment, sport and the ability of people to realize their potential. We are the greatest city in the world and I am really proud of it,” said the mayor, son of Pakistani migrants.
