(Adnkronos) – At least 75 people were killed in a drone attack carried out by paramilitaries on the Abu Chok refugee camp, near el-Fasher, in Darfur, northern Sudan. This was reported by a humanitarian group operating on the spot, according to which a drone hit a mosque where the displaced had gathered and that “the bodies were recovered from the rubble of the mosque”.
The attack came as the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitaries continue their offensive to drive the army out of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur and the last major city in the region still controlled by the regular army, more than two years after the start of the war.
