Data from the weekly YouGov/Economist poll show that the president has fallen another two points from the 41% recorded in recent weeks. The percentage of those who disapprove of his work is also a record, 57% of Americans.
Among registered voters, Trump’s approval rating rises to 43%, with a clear hold, 86% among voters who voted for him in 2024, while approval plummets to 28% among independent voters and 32% among those who consider themselves moderate. “It’s too early to say whether this drop in approval is temporary or lasting,” the pollsters comment, reports The Hill.
