Poland, two Belarusians arrested after drone incursion over presidential palace in Warsaw

(Adnkronos) – Two Belarusians were arrested yesterday after a drone flew over the center of Warsaw, then several government buildings including the residence of President Karol Nawrocki. The drone was later “neutralized”, as reported by security agencies. On the night between Tuesday and Wednesday of last week, 21 drones violated Polish airspace. Some were shot down by allied aircraft. NATO subsequently launched Operation “Eastern Sentinel” to protect the skies of the countries in the region. Around six o’clock on Sunday morning, a drone entered Romanian airspace. Yesterday, a British P-8A reconnaissance aircraft flew over Poland, on the border with Russia, at the height of Kaliningrad, and Belarus. In Belarus, and yesterday also in Kaliningrad, the joint Russia-Belarus military exercises “Zapad 2025” are underway.
