(Adnkronos) – The Bulgarian Navy announced today that it has intercepted an unmanned surface vehicle – a marine drone – in the waters of the Black Sea. The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense stated that the target, which was “destroyed”, has been analyzed. No “secondary explosions” were detected. The unmanned vessel was located approximately 80 kilometers from the city of Varna, located in the eastern part of the country. The operation involved a helicopter and two boats. Authorities stated that “all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of navigation in the area”. At the moment, there are no details on the origin of the vehicle.
