(Adnkronos) – The death toll from the violent protests that shook Nepal this week, causing the fall of the government, has risen to at least 51. Nepalese police reported this, providing a new update on the number of deaths.
According to police spokesman Binod Ghimire, over 12,500 detainees who escaped from various prisons in the country during the unrest are still on the run. Authorities have launched large-scale operations to track them down and restore order.
