(Adnkronos) – Russian armed forces conducted a massive drone and missile attack against Ukraine overnight, hitting the central and western regions. The raids caused the death of a 62-year-old man in the Zaporizhia oblast, in the Polohivskyi district, and injured at least five people in the city of Znamianka in the Kirovohrad oblast, where 28 buildings were damaged. The Kyiv Independent reports.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukrainian defenses shot down 12 drones, a local official said. Various fires were also reported in Kiev overnight and raids in the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast.
In western Ukraine, explosions were recorded in the cities of Kalush, Khmelnytskyi, Luts and Rivne. Ukrainian anti-aircraft also went into action in Lviv.
