(Adnkronos) – US President Donald Trump has confirmed that US troops will remain stationed in Poland and has left open the possibility of further strengthening the US force presence in the country. “I think so. I mean, do you know something I don’t know? – he said answering a reporter in the Oval Office – I’m very happy. Indeed, if they want it, we could put more; they have long wanted to have a greater presence”.
The president – flanked by his Polish counterpart Karol Nawrocki – then reiterated the solidity of the alliance with Warsaw: “We have some countries that have a greater presence, not too many, but no, the troops will remain in Poland. We are fully aligned with Poland”.
