(Adnkronos) – The death toll from the earthquake that struck the eastern part of Afghanistan, near the border with Pakistan, is at least 800 dead and 1,500 injured. The country’s authorities reported this, adding that they had launched a large-scale rescue operation, after entire villages were destroyed by the powerful earthquake.
