(Adnkronos) – The Iranian parliament has begun drafting a plan to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. The semi-official Tasnim news agency reports this, after the United Kingdom, France and Germany yesterday launched a process to reimpose United Nations sanctions on the country for its nuclear program.
Speaking with Tasnim, Iranian parliamentarian Hossein-Ali Haji-Deligani said that the plan to withdraw from the NPT will be submitted to lawmakers for examination tomorrow and will be approved next week. “These are the consequences of activating the snapback mechanism,” explained the parliamentarian, accusing the E3 countries of being “the source of many problems in the world”.
