(Adnkronos) – Russian attacks against Ukraine have caused the death of at least two civilians and injured at least 28 others in the last day. Ukrainian authorities reported this. Kiev forces shot down 74 of the 95 drones launched by Russia overnight, the Air Force reported. Twenty-one drones managed to hit nine different locations. Moscow launched a massive drone attack on Sumy, damaging some infrastructure. Authorities reported power and water outages in the city.
A drone attack also hit the Poltava oblast, damaging a power plant, an administrative building, vehicles and equipment, said acting governor Volodymyr Kohut. A 68-year-old woman was injured in a Russian attack on the village of Kozacha Lopan, in the Kharkiv oblast, according to Governor Oleh Syniehubov. A Russian attack on Izium injured two other women, aged 70 and 73, in the region, he added.
Russia targeted the Zaporizhzhia oblast, injuring two women, aged 25 and 52, in the village of Uspenivka, said Governor Ivan Fedorov. Two people were killed in Kostiantynivka and Bokove, in the Donetsk oblast, said Governor Vadym Filashkin. Twelve other people were injured in the region. In the Kherson oblast, Russian forces hit 36 settlements, including the regional capital of Kherson, where 11 people were injured, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported.
