(Adnkronos) – Taiwan’s prosecutor’s office has indicted three people on charges of stealing industrial secrets from Tsmc, the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturer. The investigation concerns confidential information relating to advanced technologies developed by the company, considered a strategic pillar for Taipei’s economy and national security.
“This case concerns critical national technologies, vital for Taiwan’s industrial survival, and seriously threatens the international competitiveness of the Taiwanese semiconductor sector,” the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office for Intellectual Property said in a statement.
