(Adnkronos) – Israel has asked the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification Initiative (IPC), the hunger monitoring body also supported by the UN, to “immediately retract” and notify the act of a report that determined the presence of famine in parts of the Gaza Strip. This was said at a press conference by the director general of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Eden Bar Tal, anticipating that Tel Aviv will share “evidence” relating to misconduct in the preparation of the report with IPC donors, if the organization does not follow up “shortly” to the request. Bar Tal also called the body “politicized”, accusing it of “working for an evil terrorist organization”. Among the partners shown on the agency’s website is also the European Union.
