(Adnkronos) – New protests by activists and relatives of Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip took place this morning in Tel Aviv. A section of the Ayalon Highway, southbound, was briefly blocked, Israeli media reported, to reiterate the demand for an agreement that would lead to the release of the people held prisoner in Gaza and to challenge the Israeli government’s plans for Gaza City. “The conquest of Gaza is tantamount to sacrificing the hostages and the soldiers” was the slogan of the protest. According to the newspaper Haaretz, police officers interrupted the initiative and “threatened” to fine seven activists and a photographer from the newspaper for traffic violations.
