(Adnkronos) – Germany will provide a new support package to Ukraine worth 500 million dollars. NATO announced this in a statement in which it stated that the “package of military equipment and ammunition for Ukraine” will be provided by the United States as part of an initiative of the Atlantic Alliance. NATO specified that the commitment is “designed to meet Ukraine’s most urgent operational needs” on the battlefield, drawing on US stocks.
“Germany is the leading European donor of military aid to Ukraine and today’s announcement further underscores its commitment to helping the Ukrainian people defend their freedom and sovereignty,” said NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
