(Adnkronos) – The Brazilian government expressed its ‘deep indignation’ to the United States embassy in the country for a social media post targeting the magistrate in charge of the trial of former president Jair Bolsonaro. A source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the US chargé d’affaires, Gabriel Escobar, was summoned, confirmed this to AFP. The bone of contention was a statement on X from the diplomatic headquarters stating that Washington is “closely monitoring the situation” of Judge Alexandre de Moraes, “architect of censorship and persecution” of Bolsonaro.
