(Adnkronos) – The three gunmen killed by the Indian army in the Jammu and Kashmir region were involved in the terrorist attack against Hindu tourists near Pahalgam, in Indian-controlled Kashmir, last April, which triggered the war between India and Pakistan the following month. This was announced today by the Indian Interior Minister Amit Shah.
“I want to tell Parliament that those who carried out the attack in Baisaran (near the tourist town of Pahalgam, ed) were three terrorists and all three were killed,” the minister said. The Indian army announced yesterday that it had killed “three terrorists in an intense firefight”, which took place in a nature reserve about thirty kilometers from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
