(Adnkronos) – The first direct flight from Moscow has landed in Pyongyang. The Russian agency Ria Novosti reports. The plane was welcomed with a grand ceremony in the North Korean capital. The Russian delegation, led by the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov, and the crew members received flowers upon their arrival.
The 440-seat Nordwind Boeing 777-200ER landed at Pyongyang airport at 9.30 am local time. It had departed from Sheremetyevo at 7.30 pm on Sunday and the flight lasted about eight hours. All announcements during the flight were made in two languages, Russian and Korean. The return flight is scheduled for tomorrow at 9 am Pyongyang local time.
