(Adnkronos) – Nigerian troops have killed at least 95 members of an armed criminal gang in gun battles and airstrikes. This is according to a report provided to the UN and viewed by AFP. “Air and ground troops thwarted an attempted attack by a group of bandits.” The armed clashes reportedly took place over several days in the northwestern state of Niger, the report said. At least 95 bandits, as members of local armed gangs are called, were killed.
