(Adnkronos) – Russia claims new military progress in northeastern Ukraine, with the conquest of the village of Varachino in the Sumy region, while it continues to repel Ukrainian air attacks. This was stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense, according to which “units of the Northern military group have liberated the town of Varachino, in the province of Sumy”, without any confirmation from Kyiv at the moment.
Moscow also claims that in the last 24 hours its air defense forces have shot down 256 drones and six guided bombs launched by the Ukrainian army, as well as a Himars missile and a Neptune missile. The ministry did not provide details on any casualties or material damage.
