(Adnkronos) – Sicily’s governor Renato Schifani has voiced gratitude to foreign minister Antonio Tajani for a taskforce created to internationalise Sicilian companies and for his “constant attention to southern Italy”.
“‘I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Minister Tajani for his institutional sensitivity and constant attention to southern Italy, in particular to our region,” said Schifani.
“His presence is a strong signal that strengthens efforts to support Sicilian businesses in foreign markets,’ Schifani added.
Schifani expressed his satisfaction after talks with Tajani at the prime minister’s office in Rome Monday on the internationalisation of Sicilian businesses.
“Sicily’s regional government firmly believes in the work of the task force for internationalization and intends to support it with concrete measures,” Schifani added.
“For this reason, I am committed to making sure the next budget contains adequate financial resources so that an initiative able to offer new opportunities to Sicilian businesses can continue and function effectively,” he said.
