(Adnkronos) – A severe heatwave sweeping through Iran has compromised water and electricity supplies across much of the country, with reservoir levels dropping to their lowest in a century, according to state media. At least 18 of the country’s 31 provinces, including the capital Tehran, have been affected by extreme temperatures since last Friday; authorities quoted by state television believe they will gradually ease by Thursday.
