(Adnkronos) – The Pkk demands the release of its leader detained in Turkey, Abdullah Ocalan, to advance the peace process. This was stated to Afp by the president of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, Bese Hozat.
“It is our first demand and a fundamental condition” to advance the peace process, she said after a first disarmament ceremony held in northern Iraq.
“Ensuring the physical freedom of leader Apo legally, through legal guarantees, is essential…This is our first condition and request. In the absence of this development, it is highly unlikely that this process will conclude successfully,” Hozat said.
