Ukraine: Tajani, Kuleba sign water, culture accords for Odessa

10 Luglio 2025

(Adnkronos) – Italy’s foreign minister Antonio Tajani and Ukraine’s development and reconstruction minister Oleksii Kuleba on Thursday inked agreements on restoring cultural assets in the bomb-damaged southern port city of Odessa and to improve its water supply network.

“This is not just a mere declaration but a sign of our unity in supporting the rebuilding of Ukraine with private sector participation,” Tajani said at the international Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome.

“We want to transform companies’ ideas into concrete action,” Tajani said ahead of the signing ceremony for the two accords.

During the signing ceremony, Italy, Ukraine and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) signed a declaration of intent for additional financing of the ‘Home: Compensation for Destroyed Residential Properties’ project and an MoU for financial instruments to support Ukraine’s reconstruction.

Some 5,000 participants are attending the Ukraine Recovery Conference being held at Rome’s Nuvola convention centre in the EUR district. The participants include around 100 government delegations, 2,000 Italian and Ukrainian companies as well as those from other countries, business chiefs, top European Union officials, and leading development banks.
