(Adnkronos) – The now former president of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, has been arrested again. He was arrested for the second time on the basis of a warrant from the Seoul Central District Court and today he will not be present at the hearing of the trial against him on charges of insurrection, reports the South Korean agency Yonhap, seven months after Yoon decided to impose martial law in December last year, which was soon revoked.
The former president is in the Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang, south of the capital, Yonhap specifies. Yoon had already been arrested in January, then released in March. In April, he was formally removed from office when the Constitutional Court upheld his impeachment.
