(Adnkronos) – Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky is holding talks in Rome on Wednesday with Italy’s president Sergio Mattarella and Pope Leo XIV ahead of a conference on rebuilding the war-torn country that kicks off on Thursday.
Zelensky is also set to meet with the United States envoy to the Ukraine, Keith Kellog on Wednesday.
The two-day Ukraine Recovery Conference brings together senior representatives of almost 100 countries, dozens of international and financial organisations, 2,500 companies, local authorities and Italian, Ukrainian and international civil society associations.
This year’s edition of the conference includes a technical forum and a business fair, focusing on four ‘dimensions’: economic, human, local/regional, and reform-related.
The conference is taking place at the Nuvola convention centre in Rome’s EUR business district.
