W.Post, imposter pretends to be Rubio using AI, targeting ministers and governors

(Adnkronos) – An imposter used artificial intelligence software to mimic the voice and writing style of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, contacting at least five senior officials, including three foreign ministers, a U.S. governor and a member of Congress. This was revealed by a State Department cable obtained by the Washington Post, according to which the goal was to gain access to sensitive information or official accounts. (continued)
