(Adnkronos) – People in the Gaza Strip are starving and one in three “goes days” without eating, the UN World Food Programme wrote Tuesday on X (formerly Twitter) urging a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the war-shattered Palestinian enclave.
“1 in 3 people in #Gaza goes days without food. People are starving, while we have food just across the border,” read the tweet.
“WFP is ready to deliver, but we need open entry points, safe routes, and the conditions to reach every community in need,” the tweet continued.
“A ceasefire is desperately needed,” the tweet underlined.
