Ukraine, US stops delivery of some weapons, for the White House ‘America’s interests are a priority’

2 Luglio 2025

(Adnkronos) – The Trump Administration is halting the delivery of weapons previously promised to Ukraine during the Biden era, including missiles and ammunition, for fear that US stocks may be excessively reduced. Politico and NBC News reported this in the past few hours, citing informed sources, including defense officials and members of Congress, specifying that it is all based on a stock check. According to the reports, this would also include missiles for the Patriot system, Hellfire and other missiles.

The White House has not confirmed any details, but the White House deputy spokesperson, Anna Kelly, spoke of a “decision made to put America’s interests first after a review by the Department of Defense of our support and military assistance to other countries in the world”. There is no doubt about the strength of US forces, she remarked. “Ask Iran,” she added, after the US raids that hit three sites of the Islamic Republic’s controversial nuclear program in June.
