(Adnkronos) – President Donald Trump ups the ante against Zohran Mamdani, the 39-year-old Democratic mayoral candidate for New York, declaring on his Truth Social platform that he holds “all the cards” in the dispute with the progressive exponent. The statement comes after Trump’s threat to deport Mamdani if he interferes with ICE operations in the city.
Mamdani, who calls himself a democratic socialist, replied by stating that New York “will not accept this intimidation.” Trump responded by again accusing the mayoral candidate of being an “unbalanced communist” who wants to “destroy New York,” and promised to “save the city” as he has already done with the United States.
