(Adnkronos) – Japan has executed a death row inmate. The announcement was made by public broadcaster NHK and other media: this is the first time since 2022 that the country has carried out the death penalty.
The Ministry of Justice did not confirm the execution to AFP. NHK, citing government sources, reported that the inmate had been convicted of killing nine people.
