(Adnkronos) – Italy’s foreign minister Antonio Tajani and US counterpart Marco Rubio had a “long” phone call during a two-day Nato summit taking place in the Hague through Wednesday at which the Western military alliance’s leaders are set to commit to spending 5% of GDP on defence and related infrastructure.
“Min @Antonio_Tajani had long call with US Secretary of State @SecRubio during @Nato summit,” Tajani wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Let’s strengthen Italy-US work to ensure lasting peace between Iran and Israel. Diplomacy is the tool to stability and peace in the Middle East and Ukraine,” the tweet continued.
“We are discussing this at present with @G7 and #Nato FM.”
