Gaza, Red Cross worker killed, the fifth since the beginning of the war

(Adnkronos) – The International Committee of the Red Cross has reported that one of its workers has been killed in the Gaza Strip, the fifth since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas on October 7, 2023. 

“Mahmoud Barakeh, who worked in logistical support at the Red Cross field hospital in Rafah, was killed on Sunday,” the International Committee of the Red Cross said in a statement. “This heartbreaking loss is another stark reminder of the immense challenges our colleagues and the people of Gaza face every day,” the statement continued.
