(Adnkronos) – In an overheated economy that is now beginning to show the first signs of weakening, 47,000 foreigners were hired last year to operate the industrial apparatus, but also fishermen and farmers, arriving mainly from China, India, Turkey and Serbia, 16 percent more than the quota of foreigners set by the government, the Ministry of Labor announced. Looking for employees abroad is “an objective necessity” – a source from the ministry commented to Vedomosti – when they cannot be found in Russia, due to the demographic crisis, the flight of tens of thousands of people, and the increase in production of the military industrial apparatus.
