(Adnkronos) – Ukraine and Russia have carried out a new exchange of prisoners of war, according to the agreement reached between negotiators in Istanbul. ”Ukraine is bringing home seriously injured and sick defenders from captivity”, the Kiev Defense Ministry wrote on ‘X’, underlining the ongoing work ”to bring everyone back”.
The Moscow Defense Ministry wrote in a note that ”a group of Russian soldiers returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime. In exchange, a group of Ukrainian prisoners of war was handed over” to the Kiev authorities.
