(Adnkronos) – The southwest of Colombia was shaken by a series of coordinated bomb attacks and armed attacks that caused at least three deaths. The violence targeted police stations and municipal buildings in the city of Cali, the third largest in the country, and in several neighboring municipalities.
According to police chief Carlos Fernando Triana, interviewed by local radio La Fm, the area is affected by clashes between the army and dissidents of the former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) guerrillas, who had signed a peace agreement in 2016.
