(Adnkronos) – The United States Supreme Court today voted unanimously to block the Mexican government’s lawsuit against major American arms manufacturers, considered responsible for the violence in the Latin American country. The judges ruled that Mexico has not demonstrated a link between weapons produced in the US and drug cartel violence.
The accusation against arms manufacturers of being “accomplices in the illegal sale of weapons to Mexican traffickers” is therefore not considered “plausible”, reads the sentence written by Judge Elena Kagan.
